Our Story
How We Got Started
Mediro foundation is a Non-Profit Organisation (registration 210-724 NPO) established in Mamelodi township (Pretoria) in June 2018 by six black women. The organisation holds a Level 1 B-BBEE rating as it is 100% black woman owned. The six founding members are professionals in different fields (including medical, nursing, legal and social sciences) coming from very poor backgrounds and managed to break the cycle of poverty through education and skills development.
How It Is Going
Mediro Foundation is also a registered Public Benefit Organisation (PBO). Donations made to Mediro are tax-deductible. As a registered PBO, Mediro can issue Section 18A certificates to funders for any donation.
